It fulfills its mission through strategic grants to nonprofit 501(c)3 organizations, and projects seeking to build bridges between the U.S., Latin America and the Caribbean; advancing fairness and tolerance; and improving intercultural understanding. The Miranda Foundation identifies opportunities to support its purpose and areas of interest(arts and culture, human rights, inclusiveness) by inviting current grantees or selected non-profit organizations primarily in Puerto Rico to submit proposals on selected projects. As a result, unsolicited proposals are discouraged.
