ARCI studies the ecology of rare and imperiled birds of the southeastern U.S. in order to develop management recommendations for conservation. ARCI conducts problem-solving research on rare and imperiled birds that stimulates management action and enhances public appreciation for science-based conservation planning. Our bird research varies from collecting long-term data to determine status, trends, and limiting factors, as well as studies that address immediate management needs. ARCI trains students and wildlife professionals, advise government agencies, and educates the public to increase their appreciation for science-based bird conservation.
