We bring kindness support respite and joy to families and children in need. The mission of Give One Dollar a Day is to help ease the financial burden of children and families affected by illness poverty or isolation through ongoing community giving. We startedGive One Dollar a Day after witnessing many families at the hospital suffer not just the unbearable pain of watching their child endure serious illness but also struggle with additional everyday life stressors. The larger problems of pediatric oncology epilepsy heart disease prematurity organ failure and chronic illness are beyond the scope of our social work practice but we do address the fear and other raw emotions these families experience.
