About the Foundation The Schuch Family Foundation The Foundation is a nonprofit nonstock corporation organized exclusively for charitable educational scientific andor religious purposes all within the meaning of section 501c3 of the Internal Revenue Code. It was started by Jon and Pat Schuch who have fostered 22 children in their custody over the years. In working with these children and the State of Michigan child care agency in Livingston County Michigan Jon and Pat discovered that although these children have gone through some incredibly trying times many have the potential to obtain a collegeuniversity education but lack the financial resources. Jon and Pat felt moved to start the Foundation in 2015 and develop an application process in order to begin awarding scholarships and offering financial assistance annually starting in the 2016 academic year.
