Rooted in the unique social justicelandscape of Los Angeles, Gender Justice LA envisions a safe and just society for alltransgender, intersex, and gender non-conforming people. Recognizing the mutualdependence of racial, economic, and gender-based liberation, we are committedto working from an intersectional lens, and to centering the needs oflow-income, transgender people of color. These needs include access to quality,respectful, and affordable health care; freedom from bigotry, harassment, andviolence; opportunities for education, employment, and leadership; safe spacesfor enhancing spiritual, physical, and social wellness; and the right toself-determination.
