-Our Mission Statement:To assist children from a low-income, limited English speaking environment, develop to their fullest potential by learning to read, comprehend and speak English, while understanding that people care about them as individuals. We recruit and train volunteer tutors to work in schools that have a preponderance of low income children who come from homes where no English is spoken.

Ready to volunteer. Read With Me Volunteer Programs Our Mission To assist children from a low income limited English speaking environment develop to their fullest potential by learning to read comprehend and speak English while understanding that people care about them as individuals. FROM A SMALL START Read With Me began at Mecca Elementary. Now 20 years later we have over 500 volunteer tutors serving 22 elementary schools in the Coachella Valley and two in Nevada.
