Northridge Dollars for Scholars® is a grassroots community-based scholarship foundation. It is managed by a board of local volunteers who help raise funds to support Northridge seniors by awarding financial assistance to students in pursuit of higher education. Tuition for college and technical schools is at an all-time high. College costs are outpacing inflation, financial aid provided by the state is dwindling and family incomes are stagnating. As a result, many promising students may not realize their dreams of higher education. At a time when education is recognized as a key to change lives and to better society, access for all students should be a top priority.
