Kabisig USAs goal is to improve the quality of life of indigent children and their families in the Philippines by increasing their access to health care nutrition and educational opportunities. Kabisig USA raises and distributes funds in support of Kabisig ng Kalahi a nongovernment nonprofit organization that is deeply involved in poverty alleviation and nutrition development programs in the Philippines. Kabisig ng Kalahi was founded in 2001 by Vicky Wieneke after a long successful career in clothing manufacturing as a means to give back to her fellow countrymen kalahi. Through Kabisig Vicky has created and managed multiple programs in partnership with government and industry that helps Filipinos and their communities work together to address poverty hunger and malnutrition in the Philippines.
