Crises don't happen on a 9-to-5 basis. That's why the Center for Children is ready to help kids and families, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We provide on-call therapists who help parents when a child experiences a traumatic situation or mental illness. Our  Trauma Program works with local law enforcement and support teams to comfort crime victims, and ease the trauma of felony homicide, robbery, traumatic death, and other crimes. Healthy Families teaches parents how to comfort and care for a new baby, so that a tired new parent can cope with that 2am crying spell. The Center for Children provides more than 19 community support services to improve the lives of children and families, including a mental health clinic offering individual, family, play, and group therapy, psychological testing and evaluations, psychiatric evaluations,Healthy Families home visiting support program for first-time and teen parents, CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) program for abused and neglected children in foster care, Divorce Education classes, Crime Victim Services, Child Trauma Program, Supervised Visitation and Menatl Health Clinisc for children and families.
