Every year, thousands of foster youth age out of the system, losing the support and stability they relied on. Without a safety net, 1 in 5 will face homelessness, less than 3% will earn a college degree, and many will struggle with unemployment, financial instability, and mental health challenges. At Hope for the Future Foster Transition and Resource Center, we are tackling this crisis by providing stable housing, life skills training, career and educational support, and mental health resources. Without intervention, these young adults risk falling into cycles of poverty and homelessness. Our program creates a pathway to self-sufficiency, ensuring every young person has the tools and opportunities to build a stable, independent future.
