Community Horse Sanctuary Community Horse Sanctuary started in 2015 when we began transforming Ashfault Farm our small race horse breeding operation into a facility for taking in horses who need a comfortable healthy home to live out their lives. There is a strong need for such an option. In some cases circumstances change and owners can no longer provide good care for their horses. In others a horse is injured or unfit for work and would otherwise need to be euthanized or sent to Canada or Mexico for slaughter.
