The Good Samaritan Clinic is an interdenominational Christian ministry that provides free primary health care to seven counties in West Alabama. The Good Samaritan Clinic is an interdenominational Christian ministry that respects and promotes the dignity of all human life. The Clinic provides free primary health and dental care, information, and referral for low income persons who are medically uninsured. The care is provided by a wide range of volunteers including medical professionals.Good Samaritan Clinic serves the following West Alabama counties with no other options for free care: Bibb, Fayette, Greene, Hale, Pickens, Sumter, and Tuscaloosa. Of the 303,000 residents in these counties, 63,000 live at or below the Federal Poverty Level and over 41,000 have no health insurance.
