Sun State Orchestral Program is a Non-Profit organization inspired by El Sistema, a very successful music education philosophy that utilizes music as a vehicle for social change.
"Transforming lives through the power of music" Sunstate Orchestral Program's mission is to use music as a vehicle for healing and social change. Music SAVES lives. Our organization currently offers an engaging orchestral program for 203 local students. Our dream is to establish a children’s and youth orchestra in every town across America. The Sunstate Orchestral Program leverages music as a tool for social change, helping children and communities develop values and reach their full potential, thereby making a positive impact on society through music education and performance

Sunstate Orchestral Program El Sistema Tampa Transforming lives through the power of music. Inspired by El Sistema El Sistema is a renowned music education program that originated in Venezuela over four decades ago. Founded by Jose Antonio Abreu it utilizes music as a catalyst for social change and youth development. El Sistema provides free or lowcost instrumental and ensemble training to children from disadvantaged backgrounds focusing on ensemble playing and collective musicmaking.
