The American Federation of Musicians is a democratic membership organization of professional musicians. Our goal is to improve the economic status, social position and general welfare of our members. TO PROMOTE AND EDUCATE THE PUBLIC REGARDING THE BENEFITS OF THE USE OF LIVE MUSIC AND TO PROTECT ITS MEMBERS' WAGES AND BENEFITS.
