The Mozambique School Lunch Initiative provides free nutritious school lunches for over 2,200 children in rural Mozambique, working with local farmers to benefit the whole community. At the Mozambique School Lunch Initiative, our mission is to improve childhood nutrition, increase school participation and strengthen smallholder agriculture.

Home The Mozambique School Lunch Initiative is a nonprofit organization that invests in communityowned school lunch programs to improve child nutrition and stimulate agricultural development. We are a team of Mozambicans and Americans who are passionate about creating opportunities for children to live healthy productive lives. Consistent school meals help prevent malnutrition and keep children in school as they no longer have to forage for roots during lean seasons. We collaborate with the government health services to deliver deworming and iron supplementation in conjunction with the school meals increasing the nutritional impact.
