Colorado Historical Foundation Celebrating 60 years of preserving Colorados history and historic places Celebrating 60 years of preserving Colorados history and historic places We work with Colorados people to mobilize resources that support and inspiretheir preservation of meaningful places heritage and history. In 1965 The Colorado Historical Foundation was established to bolster efforts to commemorate preserve and share the history of Colorados diverse people and places. The spirit of statewide collaboration and support infuses the Foundations core focus today Conserving historic places adapting old buildings for todays needs and supporting places and programs that provide public access to history. The Foundation works with private parties public agencies nonprofit organizations and informal coalitions to keep history alive.
