The National Board of Medication Therapy Management (NBMTM) is an independent, not-for-profit organization
that was founded to protect the public by assessing and certifying pharmacists who meet specific educational,
training, professional requirements, and demonstrate the requisite knowledge, skill, and understanding of
medication therapy management (MTM) to the benefit of patients.
The NBMTM has established a thorough evaluation process and implemented new initiatives that continually
improve the standards of its certification.
We consult with a wide range of people, including patients, doctors, employers, and educators to develop our
standards and guidance.
