The mission of the Association to Preserve African American Society, History and Tradition is to “collect, preserve and exhibit historical artifacts and information which illustrate the meaningful role African Americans have played in the Orlando area and the State of Florida. The Association is dedicated to collecting and exhibiting memorabilia which commemorate the achievements of African Americans educators, athletes, musicians, religious, civic, and cultural leaders. The Association seeks to educate visitors to and members of the Central Florida community at large regarding the African American experience including relevant history, literature, art, language, and culture.
