Eradicate Poverty Through Education. New Horizons Caregivers Group provides groceries to low-income parents who come to their at-risk child's school for the parenting educational classes. Parents learn how to help their children with schoolwork and how important students attendance is for learning. At the end of these educational classes low-income parents receive free grocery and school supply items. NHCG partnerships with the Hacienda La Puente Unified School District is unparalleled and has proven that providing basic needs at the local school level increases parent involvement by over 300% within each school community served. NHCG serves the County of Los Angeles Unincorporated Area First District, City of La Puente and Valinda.
