HUI LANAKILA CANOE CLUB Established 1977 Honolulu HI One Mind One Paddle One Ohana Based in Honolulu Oahu the Hui Lanakila Canoe Club HLCC was established in 1977 by Henry Ayau Bob Riley Billy Mitchell and Doug Frias with a mission of perpetuating the culture and tradition of Hawaiian outrigger canoe paddling. For 40 years we continue to bring together a strong community of members who embody this tradition. Our coaches within each program encourage our members to develop a hard work ethic leadership skills team camaraderieand a focus on building healthy spirits minds and bodies. As a club we strive to uphold strong Hawaiian cultural values.
