Welcome to the first citizeninspired foundation in the State of California dedicated to the support of its local fire district and emergency medical service. Rescue 1 Foundation was established in 1977 as a nonprofit philanthropic organization to receive and administer contributions in support of our districts paramedic programs and to purchase equipment for our emergency ambulance service. The Foundation has administered funds to aid the Fire District in predicting wildfire scenarios provided portable command system hardware for Battalion Chiefs and engines and streamlined evacuation procedures. We are about supporting our First Responders Through this unique support program we help to improve our paramedic program and attendant ambulance services which are so vital to the welfare of all residents of Moraga and Orinda.
