Welcome to TAWB The Texas Association of Workforce Boards TAWB is the voice of Texas workforce system leading the workforce conversation telling the workforce story and serving as a resource for workforce development stakeholders in Texas. Representing the 28 local workforce development boards in Texas and more than 750 of the business education and community leaders who serve on those boards TAWBs mission is to ensure a highly skilled welltrained talent supply for Texas employers and an employerdriven workforce system. The individuals from the local workforce boards who participate in TAWB include both the professional staff that administer the boards activities as well as private business and community leaders from communities across Texas who serve as leaders of their regional workforce boards. The handson business and workforce development expertise of its members uniquely positions TAWB and its member representatives to advise on education training and workforce development policies for the states incumbent and emerging workforce and to assist in building a true employer driven workforce development system.
