Our mission at Long Ear Rescue is to provide rescue, rehab, and rehoming to equines in need. We primarily focus on donkeys and mules. We work hard to ensure every animal is treated with the kindness and respect they deserve. We provide medical, farrier, dental, and holistic care to each equine who enters our rescue. If an animal is deemed too old, has too many medical needs, or has other special needs, we then transition that animal into our sanctuary program where they will live with us until their last breath. At Long Ear, we also believe education is key to stopping animal cruelty. We begin this process by educating the children in our community, and exposing children to the care of animals. To teach a child compassion, is to create an empathetic adult.
