An ecumenical nonpartisan organization of faith communities in NC supporting public education. Pastors for NC Children mobilizes faith communities to advocate for public education across North Carolina. We believe in equity for all students especially the most vulnerable, ending the school to prison/deportation pipeline, and ensuring children have the opportunities necessary to flourish. We believe supporting public education is at the heart of how we are called to love our neighbors and care for the children and vulnerable in our communities because public schools serve the vast majority of children. We believe public money should only support public schools that are held accountable by elected school boards and the state. We believe public schools are a common good.
