"Learning to navigate the world with our differences" The Foundation for Independent Living Inc. focuses on the welfare of individuals eighteen (18) years of age and older with intellectual disabilities who are capable of living independently with professional assistance and guidance. The Foundation provides an opportunity for individuals to live apart from their families while encouraging them to attain their highest level of independence. These opportunities are provided by programmatically offering a community-based environment designed to enhance opportunities for growth and maximizing individuals’ strengths. The Foundation was created to assist each individual in living as independent a lifestyle as possible.
