In 1948, a permanent clubhouse was opened at Paradise Point but was later relocated in 1969 to its current site adjacent to Goose Creek Bridge due to safety concerns[1].

The club offers various membership levels, including Family, Associate, Junior, and Senior, with corresponding annual dues. The Family Membership is required for children participating in the Junior Sailing Program, which is a comprehensive eight-week program during July and August[2]. SYC is seasonal with activities scheduled from Memorial Day to Columbus Day. Visit the Membership Page SYCs Junior Sailing Program is one of the best most comprehensive junior sailing programs on Long Island. Ten hours a week of instruction are offered for eight weeks during July and August with excellent studentinstructor ratios.
