Home Often the only thing standing between an abandoned shelter animal and a loving family is medical care In 2019 a group of likeminded Augusta County Virginia residents joined forces to help the Shenandoah Valley Animal Services Center municipal shelter ensure animals were adoptionready. The municipal budget covers spayneuter vaccinations limited onsite veterinary assessments and extreme emergency care. Animals requiring other medical care such as tumor removal cancer heart worm or skin treatments were at high risk. FOSVASC has provided medical funding to over 500 shelter and community animals with medical challenges and successfully expanded to include a community pet food pantry and other petretention services.
