Communities In Schools of Texas is a nonprofit organization made up of 27 local Texas affiliates that support students atrisk of dropping out by surrounding them with a community of support to ensure they stay in school and achieve in life. Americans live in a country where everyone is entitled to a free education but not everyone has everything it takes to succeed in school. Across Texas 58 of our k12 students are living in poverty. Thats why CIS is here to make a difference for those kid and weve been doing it for over 40 years.
