San Antonio BEST was started in 1994 by a group of technical professionals from Southwest Research Institute, St. Mary's University and the United States Air Force. BEST teams engineers and other technical professionals with high school age students for a six week long construction project. Teams must design the robot to accomplish a task and build the robot within specific constraints.
