CURE's mission: to educate the public and the medical community regarding the etiologies, signs, and symptoms of mold exposure diseases and mycotoxicoses; to research and promote the testing, prevention, and treatment of mold-exposure illness; To provide valid information regarding public and worker risks from bioaerosol exposures inherent in composting, sludge application, and other "trendy" waste disposal practices; To promote the development of alternative (and safer) waste disposal strategies; To educate the public, medical community, and government recovery/assistance agencies about the health risks from mold and mycotoxin exposure arising from other adverse environmental conditions, such as flooding or poor maintenance of homes and businesses.
