ORGANIZED TO CONTINUE AND EXPAND THE WORK OF THE ANNUAL CONFERENCE KNOWN AS THE INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOP ON OSTEOARTHRITIS IMAGING. THE MISSION OF THE SOCIETY, IN ADDITION TO CONTINUING TO ORGANIZE THE ANNUAL CONFERENCE, IS TO COORDINATE, DEVELOP, PROMOTE AND FOSTER THE ADVANCEMENT OF SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH AND CLINICAL PRACTIC IN OSTEOARTHRITIS IMAGING (HEREAFTER "OAIMAGING"). THE SOCIETY WILL DO THIS THROUGH INNOVATIVE ENGAGEMENT AND COLLABORATION AMONG THE SCIENTIFIC COMMUNITY, AND THE NUMEROUS BRANCHES OF MEDICINE AND THE MEDICAL INDUSTRIES BY MEANS OF EDUCATION AND RESEARCH.

Imaging is critical in both the diagnosis and management of osteoarthritis. Clinical and epidemiological studies characteristically utilize imagingderived inclusionexclusion criteria and imagingbased outcome measures. Our goal is to provide the resources and an interactive platform through our annual conference membership base research partners and education sharing to further the science of this disease that affects billions worldwide.
