Food waste is an environmental disaster that can be easily transformed into a hunger and environmental solution. Two million New York City residents nearly 1 in 3 experience food andor nutritional insecurity while 68 of discarded food in New York City is edible. The Friendly Fridge BX is working hard to redirect good food into the hands of folks who can use a little extra help. Together we can all eat while caring for our planet.
