Our Mission The mission of the North American Tang Shou Tao Association Cooperative NATSTA is the preservation research and dissemination of the traditional Chinese martial and medical arts Our Founder Vince Black began his journey in the martial arts in the early 1960s with Kajukenbo instructor Jay LaBistre in Yuma AZ. During a visit to the Los Angeles area in 1973 he met his first xingyiquan instructor Master Hsu HongChi History The North American Tang Shou Tao Association grew out of the teaching that founder Vince Black did in the mid 1980s when he was attending Chinese medicine college. Train with Us The North American Tang Shout Tao is a family style organization. Members train under the guidance of a certified instructor either in private lessons or in small groups.
