The mission of the Solid Ground Foundation is to maximize the potential of Sri Lankan children with learning difficulties so they and their families can lead productive and fulfilled lives. SGF will initially launch the project in Sri Lanka and when feasible grow beyond Sri Lanka to other developing countries. In Sri Lanka many mentally challenged children are neglected by their parents and community. Even worse parents often view a handicapped child as a source of embarrassment to be kept hidden from the public.
