Italian American Heritage Society of Birmingham Alabama Our Purpose The fundamental purpose of the Italian American Heritage Society of Birmingham Alabama is to encourage promote and preserve Italian culture and heritage with its activities centered upon Italian traditions food language culture history religion folklore customs celebrations music and family genealogy. What We Do IAHS is an organization for Birmingham and the surrounding community of Italian Descent. Sponsors Festa Italiana A Kiss of Italy an Italian festival held annually in downtown Birmingham with Volunteer opportunities for members. Has fun meetups and dinners at local establishments.
