Writers Matter An innovative program meeting writers where they are. WHO WE ARE The Writers Matter Program provides opportunities for students from elementary school to high school to learn critical writing skills through the use of journaling as a vehicle for selfexpression. Through writing about their feelings and experiences students can find an effective emotional outlet at a time when it is most important. Writers Matter is a motivational strategy that encourages students to share personal stories with each other listen to other voices and develop effective personal relationships with peers to provide more tolerance and appreciation of others.
