Dayton Hockey Association

The Dayton Hockey Association was formed following the merger of three independent youth hockey organizations: the Dayton Bluehawks Travel Hockey Club, the Dayton Bomber Youth Hockey League, and the Springboro Hockey Association. This unified organization began its inaugural season in 2012-2013, offering a cohesive structure for youth hockey development in the region.

Operations

The association supports approximately 20 teams and provides over 1,000 hours of ice time annually. It caters to children aged 4 to 18, offering programs tailored to different age and skill levels, from beginners to elite players. The organization's programs are designed to enhance both on-ice skills and off-ice character development.

Financial Overview

Dayton Hockey Association derives its revenue primarily from program services, with contributions and other sources also contributing to its financial stability. In recent years, the organization has received support from various grantmakers, including the Kolodesh Family Foundation and the AmazonSmile Foundation.

Recognition and Branding

The organization's branding reflects the significant aviation heritage of the Dayton area, inspired by figures like the Wright brothers and institutions such as Wright Patterson Air Force Base.
