Tonbridge Civic Society's main interest is in the care for the beauty, history and character of Tonbridge and its vicinity. It keeps a record of listed and important buildings. It maintains contact with the local Council to maintain high standards of architecture and town planning. It presents awards for high standards of design, promotes footpaths and cycleways. It publishes a regular newsletter.

Weve been giving local people a voice on planning decisions and helping to preserve historic buildings for nearly 60 years. Today as our population grows and changes theres never been a greater need for people to voice their opinions about preservation and development. In response were refreshing our leadership and focus.
