CLEVELAND MOUNTAIN RESCUE TEAM
Cleveland Mountain Rescue – Providing rescue services on the northern half of the North York Moors
We are a group of 45 unpaid volunteers who provide search and rescue services to people and animals who find themselves in difficulty, mainly in the countryside. We are available all day every day, whatever the weather. An Operational Support Group aid the Search and Rescue members. We depend on donations and fundraising. We assist both the Police and the Ambulance Service and other services.

Cleveland Mountain Rescue Team The Team was established in 1965 and so we celebrate our 60th Anniversary in 2025. We have around 45 to 50 Search and Rescue members including probationers who are on call 24hours a day every day of the year. We are all volunteers we have no paid staff and our services are offered free to anyone who needs them. We are reliant on the generosity of local people and groups plus other organisations to cover the 42000 on average it costs to run the Team every year.
