The preservation and restoration of buildings of architectural or historic interest anywhere within Cornwall or the Isles of Scilly. The charity operates on a rolling fund basis, by utilising its funds to buy, restore and sell. In the light of the increasingly difficult property market, greater emphasis will in future be put on working in partnership.

Old Duchy Palace Virtual Tour Tackling Climate Change at Duchy Palace Seeking a New Tenant for Old Duchy Palace What We Do Cornwall Buildings Preservation Trust is an enabling organisation that works with partners to save empty or derelict historic buildings whose future is at serious risk. Since we were established in 1973 we have carried out a range of projects throughout Cornwall including securing the future of Old Duchy Palace in Lostwithiel which we now manage. During 2024 we will carry out improvement works aimed at reducing the buildings carbon footprint for more details see our Projectspage. We would also like to take on a new project.
