Newton Ferrers Noss Mayo Women39s Institute This website is dedicated to the memory of Peter Pritchard who designed created it in 2022 Offshore sailing Our members in the community Welcome to the WI website Our WI founded in 1921 was one of the first in Devon to join the National Federation of WI39s. Even from the early days we were lucky enough to have our own hall thanks to the enterprising founder members and a bank loan of what was then the vast sum of 600. The hall was and still is used by the community for a wide range of activities. I dont know what our pioneering first members were like as individuals but I can tell from looking at the old minutes and past programmes that they organised a variety of speakers went on outings and supported each other.
