We seek to stimulate public interest in the area by encouraging the protection of features of historic significance, and by providing access to a maritime museum and shell art gallery in historic buildings we maintain. We support initiatives that enhance the continuing preservation and development of features in the area, and those that seek to conserve the historic nature of the area.

sheringhamsociety New Season 2025 ishere After a very successful season for both the Fishermens Lifeboat Museum and the Peter Coke Shell Gallery Our new season starts5th April 2025 1100am to 300pm and will run through the season every day until October 2025. Come and explore the Sheringhams historical Henry Ramey Upcher Private Lifeboat and the Peter Coke Shell Gallery. Sculpture Unveiled The society commissioned local artist Kate Munro to produce a sculpture for display in the Shell Gallery garden. The finished work was unveiled on 15th August 2024 and reflects the contents of the Fishermens Lifeboat Museum and the Shell Gallery.
