Bedford and Ouse Valley Scout District | Skills for Life
Every Scout District is an autonomous organisation holding its own property and equipment and admitting people to membership of the Scout District subject to the Policy and Rules of The Scout Association. The District exists to support the District Commissioner in meeting the responsibilities of his/her appointment and to provide support for Scout Groups and Explorer Scout Units in the District.

We help young people gain the skills they need to shine bright Our District has seventeen Scout Groups based in the towns of Bedford and surrounding towns and villages along the River Great Ouse valley. Welcome to Bedford Ouse Valley District Our District has seventeen Scout Groups based in the towns of Bedford and Kempston and in villages surrounding and along the River Ouse valley. Scouting is open to everyone and each week 1000 young members between the ages of 6 to 18 enjoy an active programme within their Groups. There is no upper age limit for adult volunteers and the Network section for 1825s provides a great transition while remaining in Scouting to adulthood.
