The Friends of Norwich Museums has been set up to help & support the Norwich Museums to aquire, via gifting or purchasing for their collections objects of intrinsic historic & artisitc value, and thus improve the display of such exhibits the charity arranges various fund raising & encourages donations in order to be able to provide for grants & purchases of such items.

Friends of The Norwich Museums Supporting the Norwich Museums In 2021 The Friends of the Norwich Museums celebrated its 100th year and is the oldest independent Friends Group in the country. The Friends of the Norwich Museums was set up in 1921 to acquire artefacts for the Norwich Museums. Today the Friends are even more important helping raise money not just for acquisitions but for conservation and displays and contributing vital funding for larger projects within the Museums.
