To observe, record & preserve the flora & fauna by way of field visits throughout the summer and issue an annual report containing the findings.We also carry out a winter programme of talks in order to promote our activities and raise awareness in the community of items of interest or areas of concern regarding the state of the natural history locally

Montgomeryshire Field Society Welcome to our website The Montgomeryshire Field Society has been surveying and reporting on the state of flora and fauna in and around Montgomeryshire for over seventy five years. The information gleaned from these surveys has played a large part in the formation of conservation policies in the area. Without these up to date records whether it be bird numbers or loss of floral habitat we would be unable to measure the changes the climate or man is having on our ecology. We welcome new members wanting to join us helping with our surveying learning and gaining specialist knowledge from our more experienced members.
