Welcome to Welshpool This small historic market town on the banks to the Upper Severn has a population of about 7000 we have a small library and the Powysland Museum located in Y Lanfa and of course the National Trust property Powis Castle and gardens. The majority of shops are small independents and there are many thriving enterprises on our industrial estates. The surrounding area has much to offer in interest heritage culture and activities. Events Lots of events are arranged throughout the year the Town Council organises the annual Fireworks display which is always a fantastic evening and enjoyed by the hundreds of families who attend.
