Symphony orchestra for Mid and West Wales based in Aberystwyth with strong links with Aberystwyth University. THE SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA, PHILOMUSICA OF ABERYSTWYTH, WAS STARTED IN 1973 FOR UNIVERSITY STUDENTS, HIGH ABILITY SCHOOL PUPILS AND MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY. IT REHEARSES ONCE A WEEK FOR THE TWO CONCERTS A YEAR THAT ARE PERFORMED IN THE ARTS CENTRE.
