The Beney Trust The James and Sylvia Beney Trust Introduction This website is designed to explain the origin and current function of these two grant making trusts and to inform anyoneconsidering making a speculative application to either trust. These two trusts were originally funded by proceeds from the estate of James Beney 1921 1990 cofounder of Walton Sound and Film Services. Today their endowments have increased through capital appreciation gifts and a legacy from estate of Sylvia Beney 1931 2003. The trust deed states that the trust exists for The advancement of the Christian religion and the advancement of education The trust deed states that the trust exists 1 To support registered charities whose aims and objectives include the promotion of the Christian gospel and such ancilliary activities as assist these aims.
