Welcome Offering over 200 different activities Scouting helps 625 year olds to grow in confidence develop skills for life and become active members of communities across Derwentside. All of this is possible through our committed volunteers who give up their free time to manage lead and deliver programmes and activities for young people. Derwentside provides and supports over 370 young people in five groups each with Beaver Cub and Scout sections running activities for 614 year olds a District Explorer Unit for 1418 year olds a Scout Network for 1825 year olds Our groups are extremely popular with young people which means for some groups there are waiting lists. We try to fit everyone in as soon as we can and will be happy to talk over options with you.
