We are a MOD sponsored youth organisation formed in 1901. Open to young persons between the ages of 9 & 16 who can join as a Royal Naval or Royal Marines Cadet. The Volunteer Cadet Corps (VCC) is a Royal Navy sponsored MOD youth organisation formed in 1901 and based in a number of RN establishments around the UK. THE OBJECT OF THE CORPS IS TO HELP AND EDUCATE CHILDREN, BETWEEN THE AGES OF 9 AND 18, TO DEVELOP THROUGH THEIR LEISURE TIME ACTIVITIES, THEIR PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND SPIRITUAL CAPACITIES IMPROVED BY EMPLOYING THE TRADITIONS AND PRACTICES OF THE ROYAL NAVY.
